Arachnis flosaeris “Insignis”

This rare variety is commonly known as the black scorpion orchid. It has a musky fragrance. This rare color variety has striking petals and sepals that are shinning dark maroon, almost black in color, thus the common name.

This is a special dwarf form of this species. It will bloom about 6” (12cm) tall. It is a miniature compare to the normal form, which are very tall (up to 1m = 100cm) and reed like. We are suspecting it could be a new species. We acquired this plant as an unknown.
